Die Gewinner des 4. Weimarer Poetryfilmpreises werden ausgewählt von Belén Montero, Sonja Hofmann und Timo Berger.
 Belén Montero (Zamora, 1970) ist bildende Künstlerin. Studium der Kunstgeschichte an der UAB Barcelona in den Bereichen Kunst, Musik sowie Bild- und Tondesign. Sie ist Mitbegründerin der Firma Esferobite in A Coruña, mit der sie eine Vielzahl von Musikvideos, Videokunst, Dokumentarfilmen und künstlerischen Projekten produziert hat, die international ausgezeichnet, ausgewählt und etwa beim Escales Documentaires (La Rochelle), im Centre Pompidou (Metz) oder beim Cineuropa (Santiago de Compostela) gezeigt wurden.
Belén Montero (Zamora, 1970) develops her career within the visual arts. Degree in Art History from the UAB, with studies in Art, Music and Specialist in Image and Sound Operations, she is co-founder of the company Esferobite in A Coruña, with which she will produce a multitude of musical videos, video art, documentary and experimental projects of an artistic nature, awarded, selected and exhibited internationally. Escales Documentaires (La Rochelle), Pompidou Museum (Metz) or Cineuropa (Santiago the Compostela) are some of the places where her works have been exhibited.  Sonja Hofmann, Diplom-Regionalwissenschaftlerin Lateinamerika, ist als Programmkuratorin und Moderatorin für das Film Festival Cologne sowie das Internationale Frauenfilmfestival Dortmund | Köln tätig. Gemeinsam mit der Kino Gesellschaft Köln organisiert sie die jährliche Filmreihe Kino Latino Köln. Für die Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (KHM) betreut sie seit 2014 das Projekt »Poetry / Film«, bei dem bislang 22 Poesiefilme entstanden sind. Zudem ist sie Projektkoordinatorin der »1. Kölner Literaturnacht« und leitet ehrenamtlich die Kulturredaktion der Zeitschrift Matices. Zeitschrift zu Lateinamerika, Spanien & Portugal. Sonja Hofmann ist stellvertretendes Mitglied in der Medienkommission der Landesanstalt für Medien NRW.
Sonja Hofmann has a degree in Latin America regional studies. She is program curator and moderator for the Film Festival Cologne as well as the International Women’s Film Festival Dortmund | Cologne. Together with the Kino Gesellschaft Köln, she organizes the annual film series Kino Latino Köln. Since 2014, she has been supervising the »Poetry / Film« project for the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), which has so far produced 22 poetry films. She is also Project Coordinator of »1. Kölner Literaturnacht« and is head of the arts department of Matices. Magazine on Latin America, Spain & Portugal on a voluntary basis. Sonja Hofmann is a deputy member of the media commission of the Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia. |
 Timo Berger, geboren 1974 in Stuttgart, studierte Allgemeine und vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft und Lateinamerikanistik in Tübingen, Buenos Aires und Berlin. Arbeit als freier Journalist u. a. für die Zeitschrift Kulturaustausch. Zeitschrift für internationale Perspektiven, Kurator und Übersetzer aus dem Spanischen und Portugiesischen. Zusammen mit Rike Bolte gründete er 2006 das lateinamerikanische Poesiefestival »Latinale«. Letzte Veröffentlichung als Autor extra muros. poemas públicos (Madrid und Bilbao, Zoográfico und LUPI 2018) und als Übersetzer der Roman Kryptozän von Pola Oloixarac (Wagenbach, Berlin 2016). Demnächst erscheint von ihm herausgegeben Buenos Aires. Eine literarische Einladung (Wagenbach, Berlin 2019). Gast unter anderem des Poesiefestivals Medellín (2017). Timo Berger, born 1974 in Stuttgart, studied general and comparative literature and Latin American studies in Tübingen, Buenos Aires, and Berlin. He is working as a freelance journalist for, amongst others, the magazine Kulturaustausch. Journal for international perspectives, and as a curator and translator from Spanish and Portuguese. Together with Rike Bolte, he founded the Latin American poetry festival »Latinale« in 2006. Most recently he released as author extra muros. poemas públicos (Madrid and Bilbao, Zoográfico and LUPI 2018) and translated the novel Cryptocene by Pola Oloixarac (Wagenbach, Berlin 2016). Forthcoming: Buenos Aires. A literary invitation (Wagenbach, Berlin 2019). He was invited guest of the international poetry festival in Medellín (2017).
